What is the ECORENO credit?

The ECORENO credit provides a financing solution for the renovation and improvement of the energy performance of your home. It offers a complete financing solution, at a preferential rate, whatever the nature of the work. Depending on the analysis of your file, the ECORENO loan is either a mortgage loan or a consumer loan. The ECORENO credit is intended for owners, future owners and tenants.

How much? The amount that can be borrowed depends on your financial capacity and may not exceed 120% of the value of the property, if necessary after work has been carried out (expertise). FAQ - ECORENO credit - mortgage

You can apply for a mortgage loan from the Brussels Housing Fund if your taxable income does not exceed the maximum income scales listed in the rates table. The house you wish to renovate must be located in one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region.

The amount of credit you can borrow depends on your ability to repay. This amount cannot exceed the cost of the work, which may however be increased by the costs, taxes and fees inherent in the operation.

The interest rate on your loan will be a fixed rate of 0% or 1%. It will depend on the type of household you have (single/single parent or other), your income and the number of dependants.

At the time of the sale, the outstanding balance of the loan, plus any re-use allowance equivalent to 3 months' interest, will be repaid from the proceeds.

You always have the possibility of repaying your loan early, in part or in full, in return for a re-use fee.
